After being an annual staple for fashion fans for over two decades, the 2019 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has been canceled as model Shanina Shaik announced. We’ll talk about the Angels’ opinions regarding this surprising event but this may only be the tip of the iceberg. There’s the Les Wexner email which surfaced earlier in the year which acknowledges the brand needs to grow and change in order to stay relevant and that means moving away from network television. There’s been a growing controversy in recent years concerning their lack of diversity in their lineup. Although he later made an apology, Ed Razek made some controversial statements surrounding plus-sized models as well as trans models. After they fired Karlie Kloss and caused the Roby Lawley boycott, things weren’t looking all that great for this famous company. And while skipping this annual event is one thing the drop in sales and all of the stores closing is another.
