How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Starring the iconic Jim Carrey, this flick is an adaption of the Dr. Seuss classic, which is about a Christmas-hating creature that plans on ruining Christmas for all the citizens of Whoville. While the vengeful Grinch hilariously struggles with his feelings towards the joyous holiday, his growing friendship with six-year-old Cindy Lou leads to a positive epiphany inspired through her generosity and sweet spirits. This is certainly a comedic classic, which reminds us what Christmas is really about.
This light-hearted comedy features Will Ferrell, playing the role of Buddy, the misfit elf. After a childhood raised by elves in the North Pole, Buddy sets out on a journey to New York City in search for his true identity and his biological father. While struggling to fit in with metropolitan human culture, cheerful Buddy approaches the challenges of spreading Christmas spirit in world full of cynics. This is truly a feel-good movie.

It is a love story that follows two women, both consumed by romantic despair, who exchange homes in different countries in hopes of a secluded holiday getaway.
