Ozzy Osbourne Sets Farewell Tour Dates
You had to know this was coming. After Black Sabbath wrapped up their farewell tour back in February, it was only a matter of time before Ozzy Osbourne announced his solo farewell tour.
This morning Osbourne made the announcement everyone was expecting, and released the first few months of tour dates. While the entire schedule has yet to be announced, including his North American dates, his fans can at least get a glimpse of where he will be through the middle of next year.
Osbourne started his career in 1968 with the formation of Black Sabbath. He was fired from the band in 1979, after which he started a very successful solo career. While on tour he will play music from all five decades of his career, including hits from Black Sabbath. The tour begins next May in Mexico, with dates running through until July where he will make a stop in Lisbon, Portugal. The dates cover Mexico, South America and Europe, with more concerts being announced next year.
Whatever you do though, don’t consider this the 68 year old Osbourne’s retirement. In a press release he said ““People keep asking me when I’m retiring. This will be my final world tour, but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.” And even it it was his retirement, his farewell tour is expected to last well into 2020, so it will be a long goodbye regardless.
